Starting at $100. (no good cigar should be without one) To season your humidor, first, remove the humidifying element and hygrometer. Next, take a fresh sponge, wet it with distilled water, and wipe down all exposed cedar surfaces in the humidor's interior. Once the interior has been properly wetted, fill the humidifying element of the humidor with the distilled water and replace the unit and the hygometer. Finally, place the damp sponge used to wipe down the interior on a dry towel inside the humidor and leave it closed for 24 hours. Remove the sponge after that period, pat the area under the towel dry, and fill the humidor with cigars. You're now good to go! Another type of young tobacco is a leaf that has been fermented correctly but has not been adequately aged. The normal length of time for tobacco to age after fermentation is six months to a year, or longer for stronger tobacco. Unlike a cigar made with improperly fermented tobacco, cigars made with underaged tobacco can improve with proper storage in a humidor. If you have cigars you suspect are made from underaged tobacco, place them in your humidor and try one every month, to moniter the changing characteristics. | Hats | Cigar Lighters | Ashtrays | Other Accessories |
